Tammy Abraham brace gives Chelsea the 3-0 win in London Derby against West Ham

West Ham did the double over Chelsea last year, but tonight David Moyes wasn’t able to get his first win at Stamford Bridge.

It seemed like Chelsea had a terrible start when Declan Rice took the ball around Mendy and scored on the 6th minute, but luckily for Chelsea he was ruled offside by VAR.

Chelsea’s did have bad news minutes later when Chilwell went back down after trying to play on after an injury scare. Now the Blues would be without both of their starting fullbacks, as Reece James was out with a knee injury. Emerson replaced Chilwell.

Only a few minutes Chelsea would score another set-piece, their eighth set-piece leading to a goal of the season. A great delivery from Mason Mount led to a good header from Thiago Silva.

1-0 Chelsea.

West Ham had a great chance ten minutes later when Kante would slip and give Haller the opportunity to be in behind. Chelsea captain, Cesar Azpilicueta would recover well to come from behind and go in front of Haller and close him out. Great chance for West Ham and Haller should have done better with it.

Chelsea welcomed the return of Pulisic who looked sharp in the first half. He created the best chance of the half for Chelsea. A great bit of football that started with a ball from Jorginho, Tammy flicked the ball into the path of Pulisic who took it past Balbuena and passed it into Werner on the left with a great chance. He couldn’t sort out his feet quick enough and ended up releasing a weak shot straight at Fabianski with his weak foot.

Jorginho had a good first half and brought some needed quality into Chelsea’s midfield. Before the game Lampard said that big signing Havertz “will find his feet” and that he’s got “midfield players who are competing.”

First half ended 1-0 to Chelsea but West Ham very much still in the game.

West Ham seemed to be the better side in the second half for 30 minutes. They should have scored early into the second half. Cresswell put in a great cross to Haller who headed the ball wide.

Despite West Ham enjoying a lot of the ball, the side didn’t threaten Chelsea’s goal and finished the match without a shot on target. Chelsea’s defense remained solid with Thiago Silva leading it. Chelsea also can be happy about a good performance from Azpilicueta

Chelsea would go onto score their second goal in the 77th minute. Werner cut inside from the left for a shot with bis right, he scuffed the shot but Abraham was in the right place to convert the easy chance.

2-0 Chelsea.

Two minutes later Abraham was in again the right place. After a great one-two with Christian Pulisic, Pulisic attacked the West Ham half and found Mount in space in the box on the left. Mount put the ball on his right and put in a cross which Pulisic should have converted. The ball came to the path of Abraham though, who put it away with a splendid finish.

3-0 Chelsea

Werner had a chance to get a much-needed goal in the end but hit the crossbar. Another one of The Blues’ big signings from the Bundesliga continues to struggle to find form in the Premier League.

After the game, Abraham said: “We lost concentration for two games and we brought it back today, hopefully, we can kick on,”

Full time: Chelsea 3-0 West Ham

Man of the Match: Thiago Silva

Chelsea will hope to catch some form and consistency in results as they face Arsenal at the Emirates on boxing day.
