Mason Mount goal gives Chelsea the 1-0 victory in the London derby.
Despite the first half having no goals, both teams had some great chances to go ahead.
Chelsea’s biggest chance came in the 24th minute when Fulham wasn’t able to properly header a cross from the left away properly. The ball fell to Mason Mount who hit the crossbar.
A couple of minutes later a good cross from a Mount corner found Antonio Rudiger in the box, whose header was met by a good save from Areola.
The best chance of the first half came from the home side, however. A great pass by Tete into the box and into Cavaleiro. He miss-hit the ball and failed to convert a chance you’d expect most forwards to score.
Just before the first half could end, Antonee Robinson was shown a straight red card after a reckless and dangerous tackle on Azpilicueta.

Chelsea’s best player of the game was the one who put them in front. Mason Mount. After Aerola’s poor handling of a cross Chilwell, the ball fell to Mount inside the box. He volleyed it in the bottom right corner.
Fulham 0-1 Chelsea.
Chelsea had a chance to double their lead following a counter attack in the 94th minute. Timo Werner wasn’t able to make the most of his chance despite being one on one with the keeper, the german put his shot wide.
Chelsea took three points from this london derby although the performance wasn’t too impressive. Nevertheless an important three points from Chelsea, who look to get another important win against Leicester City.
