Leeds United strolled to a confident victory against a poor Crystal Palace side on Monday night as Marcelo Bielsa’s men pushed into the top half of the Premier League table.

Illan Meslier – 7
Had very little to do. Made saves when he was forced into them, was very tidy in possession.
Luke Ayling – 7
Very solid defensively, nice runs forward. A handful for Van Aanholt in the first half, and impossible for Eze to deal with in the second.
Pascal Struijk – 7
Has been getting closer and closer to scoring his first senior goal, should have had at least one today. Was excellent defensively, did a great job on Mateta and didn’t give Benteke an inch when he came on either.
Liam Cooper – 8
Godly. For a player who has been criticised as often as he has to stand up and put in a performance like that is extraordinary. He won every header, made every tackle and controlled the game from the back. I have lept to our captain’s defence a number of times this season when he has come under unnecessary fire and this game should mean that I have a week away from marshalling Leeds Facebook pages.
Ezgjan Alioski – 7
Very solid performance today. Was a threat going forward and put in a few nice crosses for Bamford. Stuck to his task defensively, and his weekly misplaced pass in his own half didn’t give away a major opportunity, which was nice. Slowly but surely improving.
Kalvin Phillips – 8
Jordan Ayew might not get a lot of goals but he is a nightmare to mark. Ayew never stoprs running and moving. He is gritty with the ball at his feet and is capable of moments of brilliance. Fortunately, Kalvin Phillips was the one marking him. It was a mammoth performance from the defensive midfielder today, on his 200th appearance for his boyhood club. Already a Leeds United legend.
Raphinha – 8
Unbelievable again. I live in constant fear of a broken heart now. His influence on this team offensively is on par with that of Pablo Hernandez in Bielsa’s first season and, with Liverpool apparently sniffing around, I am terrified that this exciting talent will get ripped away from us.
Mateusz Klich – 8
Getting back to where he was before Christmas. It has been a difficult spell for the Pole, ut he was great today. Creative and aggressive 100% of the time. Nice to see him back.
Stuart Dallas – 7
All over the place in the best possible way. Played the hybrid central midfielder/right wing-back role and it suits him perfectly. Was very difficult to get a handle on for the Palace midfield.
Jack Harrison – 7
He keeps scoring goals and he keeps playing well. Has taken to this league like a duck to water and might just be an outside shout for the England squad at the Euros.
Patrick Bamford – 8
At his best for so much of that game. That miss was such a shame. He created that chance by himself and had he finished it, it would have been one of Bielsa’s and Bamford’s favourite goals. Got his goal in the end though and bloody deserved it.
Jamie Shackleton – N/a
Came on late in the day to close off the game. Harried and pressed effectively but didn’t have much to do.
