Norwood’s own goal and late Ziyech strike take Chelsea through to the FA Cup semi-finals.
Mason Mount captained the Blues as they advanced to the semi-finals of the FA Cup with a 2-0 victory over Sheffield United. Tuchel also gave Billy Gilmour a start who took advantage of his chance with an impressive game.
Chelsea looked like they were going to cruise to the semi finals of the FA Cup but Sheffield didn’t make it easy for them. They stepped up late in the game and put the Blues under a lot of pressure towards the end of the game.
Chelsea their goal of the game in the 23rd minute of the game thanks to a Sheffield United own goal. Mason Mount’s corner evaded everyone in the box and fell to Ben Chilwell outside of the box.
His shot was going wide but thanks to an attempted block from Oliver Norwood it ended up in the back of the net.

The next big chance of the game would fall to Chelsea and Christian Pulisic. A poor pass from Norwood allowed him to run onto the ball and go one on one with Ramsdale.
Pulisic slipped a little when was through on goal but recovered well enough to get a shot off. His chip attempt was stopped by some good goalkeeping from Ramsdale.
A chance Pulisic should be scoring, despite initially losing his balance.
The Blues didn’t create that many chances in the first half, but there were good performances from the likes of Gilmour who had a great half.

Early in the second half Christian Pulisic showed off his great drilling ability getting through two Sheffield defenders and into the box with a flip-flap.
He got himself in a great position with skill and had a great chance to make it 2-0. He couldn’t make the most out of the chance he made for himself, a good save by Ramsdale though.
The later stages of the game saw Sheffield start to play a lot better. Their biggest chance of the game came in the 66th minute.
David McGoldrick had a great chance to equalize after a cross from the right. His free header went wide, a chance he really should be scoring.
The Blades had another decent chance in the 68th minute. Oli McBurnie took a shot outside of the box, a good attempt that was saved by Kepa Arrizalabalaga who hasn’t had much to do this game.
Another big chance came to Sheffield in the 77th minute. McGoldrick took on Azpilicueta on the right and beat him.
He managed to get himself inside Chelsea’s box and tried to put the ball across goal in a dangerous area. Arrizalabalaga got an important hand to the pass and denied Sheffield their equalizer.
Sheffield had a great final chance when the ball ended up outside the box and Rhian Brewster would run onto it.
His strike went just wide due to a deflect, Sheffield very close to equalising.
Chelsea would end the game and make it 2-0 in injury time. A great counter from Chelsea was finished off by a great finish from Hakim Ziyech.
