Leicester City win their first FA Cup after Youri Tielemans screamer and controversial VAR decision
Leicester took home the FA Cup after a thrilling finish to the final against Chelsea. An amazing goal from Tielemans, big saves from Kasper Schmiechel and controversial decisions from VAR.
19th minute Leicester had a great chance. Iheanacho won a freekick on Chelsea’s left after a Thiago Silva handball. Youri Tielemans put in a great ball in the box but Soyuncu’s header went over the crossbar.
A good chance that could have easily gone Leicester City’s way.
28th minute Chelsea had their first great chance to go ahead. The ball fell to Thiago Silva inside the box who put in a great ball towards the back post.
Timo Werner touched the ball slightly taking it away from the path of Cesar Azpilicueta. Without that touch, the Chelsea captain would have had an easy goal if not for the touch.
Leicester had the last chance of the half through Jamie Vardy. A great cross from Tielemans but Vardy couldn’t get a good connection on it and managed to put it wide.
63rd minute Tielemans put Leicester up 1-0 with a great finish from outside the box. He struck the ball across the goal to the top right corner.
Leicester’s best player on the pitch was rewarded with a great goal in the finals.

77th minute Kasper Schmeichel made a big save. Ben Chilwell nearly equalized the game after coming off the bench but the Leicester keeper managed to just get there and hit the ball onto the post.
He followed that up with another great save to deny Mason Mount the equalizer in the 86th minute. Mount couldn’t have shot the ball any better, just a brilliant save.
More drama would follow when Chelsea would be denied a goal due to VAR calling Chilwell offside.
His cross led to a deflection from Wes Morgan after Albrighton tried to clear the line. A controversial decision led to Leicester winning the FA Cup.
