Luton Town FC has a long and very interesting history. There is never a dull season for the club’s fans. They’ve enjoyed major trophy wins in 1988 and 2009, ten years of top-flight football and lots of promotions.
They’ve also suffered a few financial crises, 40 points deducted over two seasons, three successive relegations which led to five long years of non-league football and a battle to get a new stadium which has gone on for a very long time.
After finally getting out of the Conference in 2014 the club has been building their way back to where they belong. After pulling off the great escape last season and the successful return of Nathan Jones, who oversaw the final nine matches of that great escape, the club’s start to the season has been good and exceeded most fans expectations.
With a tight-knit squad made up of players mostly in their prime or at a good age to develop the club has the potential to have a fantastic season and edge closer to the Premier League dream. With the new stadium finally approved the future looks very bright.
