INTRODUCTION…
Nottingham Forest are a club that is known for taking great pride in their history. Having had the days of Brian Clough and winning the European cup consecutively in 1979/80, most football fans agree that The Reds are a team that need to be playing Premier League football.
It has proved to be difficult for Forest to get back there though with the side narrowly missing out on the playoffs under Sabri Lamouchi in the 2019/20 campaign.
The Trentside club have struggled so far this season and have been down at the bottom end of the table as they now look to find some stability under Chris Hughton, following many years of managers being quickly shown the exit door.
Nottingham Forest boast a great fanbase, stadium and academy, all deserved of a place in the top flight, but with The Reds’ having been battling it out at the bottom of the Championship, the priority this season so far has been avoiding the relegation zone and solidifying midtable.
Once this season has concluded and we are hopefully in Championship safety.. then and only then would it be time to build on that to see if we can climb out of our championship mediocrity and back into the Premier League following a 22 year exile.
