INTRODUCTION…
Playing in the biggest city in the country to not host Premier League football, Plymouth Argyle are rapidly becoming a rising force in the Football League.
Led by Ryan Lowe who’s attacking style of football won him plaudits at Bury. Argyle won promotion from League Two at the first time of asking in 2019/20 season, benefitting from the points per game system to secure the last automatic promotion spot.
Somewhat of a sleeping giant in the Football League, the Pilgrims are a team on the up since falling into administration in 2011.
New owner Simon Hallett has invested a lot of money in the club. Most notably with the renovation of the new state of the art Mayflower Grandstand.
As well as on the pitch with marquee signings such as the permanent acquisition of George Cooper in the summer and heavy investment in the youth academy.
With the ambition to be a sustainable Championship club within the next five years, backed by the vociferous Green Army, Argyle are certainly one of the more exciting teams to watch this season!
