One of the 12 founding members of the Football League, West Brom have spent most of their existence firmly entrenched in mediocrity. The last 20 years or so have seen the club spending periods in the Championship and the Premier League, with the only notable successes being a FA Cup semi-final appearance and winning the championship in 07/08 and an 8th place Premier League finish in 12/13.

Despite little in terms of on-field success to shout about ( five FA Cup wins that all came before man stepped on the moon) the club has been on the forefront of breaking racial barriers, with perhaps the biggest example being Batson, Regis and Cunningham aka “The Three Degrees” being stars for the club in a time when there were almost no opportunities for BAME players in the game.

What the club lacks in success, it more than makes up for in community value and bringing together supporters in one of the most diverse areas of the country. COYB!
